Enjoy Plum Blossoms at the West Lake State Guesthouse

A 20th-century Chinese architectural heritage site, the most elegant garden on West Lake. Built in the late 19th century, the former glory of the Water Bamboo Residence has faded. The current layout of the gardens and buildings was redesigned and rebuilt in the 1950s by Mr. Dai Nianci, a famous Chinese garden expert and architectural master, and then extensively renovated at the turn of the new century in the late 1990s. Pavilions, terraces, small bridges, waterside gazebos, winding corridors, bamboo groves, ancient trees, and bizarre stones create picturesque views. Living here, you can enjoy visiting peach blossoms in spring, watching lotus flowers in summer, admiring osmanthus in autumn, and gazing at pine trees in winter. You can also enjoy the tranquility of bamboo breezes through the window and the refreshing lotus breezes by the bed. Looking east, you can see the entire ten miles of the lake.
