The scenery of many places in China that I saw on TV was so attractive that I finally made up my mind to take a trip to Hangzhou during the Easter holiday. As soon as I got off the plane, the sight of the airport made me feel relieved. It felt like Hong Kong Airport. There was no luggage storage, so I was able to get out in less than 30 minutes. Since the first stop is Qiandao Lake, you have to take the subway and then transfer to the high-speed rail. The signs along the way are very clear. Taking the subway is just like in Shenzhen. You can use WeChat, Alipay or UnionPay, which is very convenient. I purchased the high-speed rail tickets in advance on Ctrip, which was very easy. There will be security ticket checks at the high-speed rail station. If you don’t have a mainland ID card, you have to go through the "manual inspection" channel. The staff are very efficient and it takes only a few minutes. The high-speed train is very comfortable, and it is stable and quiet up to 300 kilometers. It's awesome! When I arrived at Qiandao Lake Station, I didn't know how to call a taxi, so I just took a taxi. Go to the hotel. It took less than three hours to get from Hangzhou Airport to Qiandao Lake Hotel. In Qiandao Lake, there are only buses but no subway, so you must learn how to take a taxi as soon as you arrive. It turns out to be very convenient. You can access "Didi Chuxing" on WeChat. Just enter the place you want to go to on the platform and you will know the time and fare required for the entire journey. Usually a car will arrive in a few minutes, which is very convenient. The taxi fare is much cheaper than in Hong Kong. A 50-minute ride from Hangzhou to the airport only costs 80 yuan.
