Overlooking the beautiful scenery of Hefei from Dashu Mountain on the wild road

🚇 After visiting the Chenghuang Temple in Hefei, I took the subway to Dashu Mountain Forest Park. At first glance at the name, I thought I was in Sichuan. 🏃🏻‍♂️ The park is located in the west of the city, about 10 kilometers from the city center. Fortunately, there is a subway that shortens the distance to the city. The park is very large, and my main goal was to climb the mountain. 🤓 At the entrance, there is a stone archway with an inlaid sign that reads 'Shushan Forest Park'. The nearby scenic area introduction resolved my confusion; it turns out that its name is indeed related to Sichuan. 🏺 According to the records of 'Luzhou Prefecture Annals', in ancient times, a monk from Shu settled here. Suddenly missing his hometown, he struck the ground with his tin staff, and a gushing spring emerged. After drinking from it, he tasted the flavor of the Three Gorges, so he named it Shu Spring, and the mountain was named after it. 🍃 This Luzhou is the ancient name of Hefei. Walking along, I did not find the trace of Shu Spring. Dashu Mountain has an excellent natural ecological environment, with a forest coverage rate of up to 95%. 💯 Walking through the archway, the road is lined with green trees, and the air is fresh. Although it was not a weekend or holiday, there were still many citizens coming here to climb the mountain. ⭐ After walking along the road for a while, I saw a small path at the roadside with a sign that read 'Natural Experience Path'. I have always liked to take the road less traveled, so without much thought, I turned in. 💦 This path is less traveled and even quieter. In early summer, the leaves are tender green, which is very pleasing to the eye. Scattered along the roadside are rolling stones called volcanic waterfalls, remnants of the last volcanic eruption. The magma that emerged from the ground cooled into pieces of olivine basalt, which then weathered and broke apart, eventually forming the landscape before us. 📌 As I walked, a dirt path appeared next to the 'Natural Path', and as a hiking enthusiast, I naturally would not miss it. Following this more primitive path upwards, I saw ribbons tied by outdoor enthusiasts on the branches for directions. After a climb that required both hands and feet, I returned to the 'Natural Path'. 🏙️ By now, I could see the TV tower at the top of the mountain, and there were more tourists around. With renewed effort, I climbed up the slope where the TV tower is located, where the view was average. Walking around to the back of the tower, there is a small square named the Anti-Japanese War Memorial Square, which is the best viewing platform, offering a panoramic view of the entire city of Hefei. ♥️ Dashu Mountain is a highland in Hefei and a natural fortress. During the Anti-Japanese War, several battles against the Japanese took place here. The Anti-Japanese War Memorial Wall by the square was erected on the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Anti-Japanese War to remind people not to forget the national humiliation. 😃 I took the regular mountain trail down the mountain. The top section of the mountain is all steps and is very steep. Seeing the tourists coming up, each panting, I felt secretly pleased that I took the wild path.
