A Road Trip in Shikoku: Enjoy the Stunning Views of the Seto Inland Sea

We started our journey from Okayama, driving first to Kojima, which takes about 30 minutes. Then, we crossed the Seto Ohashi Bridge into Shikoku, enjoying the beautiful views of the Seto Inland Sea along the way. We continued driving to Oboke in Tokushima Prefecture, a journey of about 2 hours. The entire trip is filled with beautiful natural scenery and rich cultural experiences, making it an unforgettable road trip. 1. Introduction to Okayama Okayama is located in the western part of Honshu, Japan. It is a city rich in history and culture, home to the famous Okayama Castle and Korakuen Garden, one of Japan's three great gardens. Okayama is also the hometown of Momotaro, a legendary hero whose story attracts many visitors. 2. Introduction to Kojima Kojima is a district in Okayama City, known for producing high-quality jeans and is called the 'Denim Capital of Japan.' There are many jeans factories and shops here where visitors can tour the production process and purchase unique denim products. Additionally, Kojima is the starting point of the Seto Ohashi Bridge, which connects Honshu and Shikoku, offering magnificent views. 3. Scenery of the Seto Inland Sea Driving across the Seto Ohashi Bridge, you will enter the beautiful Seto Inland Sea area. The sea views here are breathtaking, dotted with countless small islands and clear waters. Along the way, you can stop to enjoy the scenery or take a ferry to visit some islands, such as Naoshima, known for its modern art museums and outdoor sculptures. 4. Introduction to Oboke Oboke is located in Tokushima Prefecture, Shikoku, and is known for its spectacular gorge scenery. The rocky gorge was carved by the Yoshino River, creating a magnificent natural landscape. Visitors can take a boat tour to admire the beauty of the gorge or participate in rafting activities for an exciting water adventure.
