North Vietnam Double Dragon Bay, Sapa, Hanoi Free Travel

DAY 8: I originally planned to rent a motorcycle for a day trip to Ninh Binh, but after experiencing the traffic in Hanoi city, I was glad that I chose to join the local tour's luxury bus day tour. Lu Long Bay in Ninh Binh Province is famous for its spectacular limestone peaks, caves and rice fields. Hoa Lu was the capital of Vietnam in the 10th century. Although the old city no longer exists, there are still some ruins and temples that bear witness to this period of history. Tam coc in Lulong Bay Scenic Area means "three caves", namely Hang Ca, Hang Hai and Hang Ba, all located on the Ngo Dong River and now listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The two of us sat in a small boat, one in front and one behind, with the boatman rowing with his feet, starting from Van Lam Pier, enjoying the unique karst topography and beautiful rice field landscape along the way. The limestone caves we entered were lower than one another, and the caves were dark and rugged, but the boatman could accurately control the direction of travel. Passengers should also pay attention to the rocks above their heads and lie down to avoid them. After exiting the cave, it felt like arriving in a paradise, with a feeling of "walking through stone caves with green peaks, suddenly seeing flowers and willows welcoming you". The scenery on both sides changed from endless to surrounded by mountains, as if being in the artistic conception of an ancient poem "the mountains are continuous and the sound is endless, the light boat has passed the green peaks".
