From Christchurch to Hokitika

If you take the west line of New Zealand, you usually have to cross the South Island from Christchurch to Hokitika. This road is called Highway 76. The construction level of this road is equivalent to a county road in China, and the driving difficulty is similar to the mountain road to Yanqing. It is not as difficult as the legend says. The strange thing is that all the river bridges on the road are single-lane, and the cars coming from one direction have to observe whether there are cars on the opposite side before passing. I don't know which smart person in New Zealand came up with this idea. Fortunately, there are not many cars, so you don't have to wait too long. However, in China, the infrastructure maniac, this is an impossible situation. This journey takes about 4.5 hours and passes through several scenic spots or viewing platforms. The first is Castle Hill, which is actually a huge rock exposed on the mountain, presenting a castle-like appearance. Along the way, similar landforms are not the only ones, but this one is easier to approach. Castle Hill is also worth a visit, but it is not amazing. The second scenic spot we stopped at is called Arthur's Pass. The scenery here is also average, and you can take a break. Arrive at Hokitika. The town is really small, but it is a supply and rest stop. In the evening, take a walk by the beach. There are many winds and waves. Unexpectedly, I found many white stones on the beach, which are crystal clear and very cute. One thing you can't miss in Hokitika is to see the fireflies. Glow worms Dell, a few minutes' drive from the town, is a great place to observe fireflies for free. Remember not to turn on the flash, and the long exposure function of the mobile phone can record their sparks.
