Squam Lakes Natural Science Center

Squam Lakes Natural Science Center delivers astounding live animal exhibits, natural science programming, and a love for all things nature-related. During your tour of the facility, you’ll embark on a one-way trail whereupon you’ll encounter live animals like wild birds, amphibians, bobcats, otters, mountain lions, and so many others. Best of all, the outdoor trail allows you to witness the animals in their natural habitat. In addition to the live animal trail, Squam Lakes Natural Science Center provides river cruises where you can see wildlife with provided binoculars. Other center attractions include a bald eagle adventure, a loon cruise, and private charters among others. Additionally, the center is home to a handful of hiking trails of varying lengths and difficulty levels. Finally, one of the most fun attractions at the center are the Hidden Stories that answer questions about animals along the tour trail; it’s sort of like a scavenger hunt.
