🖼 Simple Art Exhibition: Harbor City "Fairytale-style Truth" Local artist Kazy Chan's first multi-media solo exhibition "Ketchup" 🌈🎨 I have always paid attention to Kazy Chan's works, and used to create mainly graphic four-frame comics and illustrations. This first multimedia solo exhibition after more than a year, Tomato Sauce Ketchup showcases more than 14 groups of newly created ceramic sculptures and acrylic drawings accompanied by poetry and music guides for the first time. Kazy explains why it's called "Ketchup" because the restaurant's common "tomato sauce" can match any food after adding it. Harbor City Art Gallery and William Chan Design will present local artist Kazy Chan’s first multimedia solo exhibition, Ketchup, from September 3 to 26, 2021. 🎉A set of main works "Pigeon and Me", Kazy created 23 pigeon ceramic sculptures at once. The inspiration comes from the fact that there are fewer and fewer trees in the city, and the habitat of street pigeons has plummeted, and they eventually have to rest on everyone’s heads. 🥰 🎉 Stereoscopic animated physical room Kazy Chan also designed six sets of allegorical scenes to extend and produce the 1.8-meter-high dioramas art installation "Flowing Tomato Sauce", which includes three layers of ceramic sculptures with serial numbers and different shapes. The entire device took six months from preparation, 3D printing, manual coloring to assembly. The representative scene of the installation The main character is presented in 16 sets of stop-motion animation and with flashing lights and music, from stillness to rotation, like shaking the tomato sauce at high speed, allowing us to feel the wonderful moment of the tomato sauce from stillness to pouring out. "We usually watch animation with about 25 frames per second, but this time we use 16 frames as a unit, with 16 sets of sculptures with different shapes placed on each floor. On the one hand, we want to create a visual effect with flashing lights and music, and on the other hand, we want to challenge and break the habit of people's eyeballs when watching animation.
