Lamma Says: In order to deepen the cross-cultural connection between Lamma Islanders and let the public discover another side of Lamma Island🏖from December this year to March next year, the Art Promotion Office launched the "Lamma Says:" public art project, which takes "coast" as the theme in the southern section of Lamma, centered on Sok Kwu Wan🏝, to review the history of this area and the lifestyle formed by the interaction between land and sea. This project invited different artists to participate in the artist-in-residence program, and to create art through exchanges and collaborations with different communities🎨 Other artists also displayed works inspired by natural and cultural elements in different spaces on the island🐂 For example, the cow, bird and pig statues that we saw today seemed to be made of scrap iron, and the others were made of paper with special paint to present a rust color, which was very unique🐖 In addition, directors produced documentaries about the Tin Hau Temple and the ferry industry to be screened🎞 and a series of corresponding activities were held during the exhibition, including guided tours, community workshops and documentary screenings.
