The centre was opened in 1992. The Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre is a professional art learning venue that integrates three activities: ceramics, sculpture and printmaking. It provides excellent equipment to facilitate artists to engage in creation and hold various types of art activities. The center currently has nine art studios, a lecture hall, an exhibition hall and a multi-purpose activity room. It also frequently hosts various types of art activities, including courses, exhibitions, demonstrations, lectures, artist residency programs and art sales.
