Approaching Pobianzhou - feeling both painful and happy.

Po Pin Chau is located on the eastern coast of Leung Shuen Wan in the New Territories of Hong Kong and is famous for its unique hexagonal stone pillars. These stone pillars were formed by volcanic activity during the Jurassic period more than 100 million years ago. The lava and volcanic ash cooled to form stone pillars with hexagonal cross-sections. Pobin Island, a unique geological wonder formed by wave erosion; Pobian Island, a place suitable for hiking and photography; Po Bin Chau, the location where the Hong Kong dollar 500 banknote issued by the Bank of China was filmed. ‌ 🚶‍♂️ Route entrance: ①Official route: The entrance to the mountain is the stairs opposite the 9A minibus stop (only available on weekends and holidays). The advantage is that the route is clear and it is not easy to get lost; the disadvantage is that the route is long and the climbing is difficult. ②Small trail: The trailhead is located at the edge of the breakwater. Go down to the bottom and climb up the rocks, then cut along the exposed rocks and join the official route at the end. There is a section of exposed rock going straight up in the middle of the route, don't climb it. Advantages: simple climbing and descending, shorter route, and saving physical energy. Disadvantages: The route is unclear and it is easy to get lost. There is a steep slope next to the route, and some rocks on the route are tilted and unsafe. After we finished visiting the breakwater, we also found that some tourists ignored the safety warnings on the broken edge island sign, crossed the rocks and proceeded in danger. For safety reasons, we returned to the top of the dam and entered from the official route to Pobianzhou. The journey was a bit long, with ups and downs, but the surrounding environment was beautiful. There were many hikers along the way, all heading for the same destination. Everyone greeted each other and cheered each other on! Here we are, wow! It’s so beautiful and shocking, it’s worth it [Surprising], I finally realized my dream from eight years ago. There is still a lot to explore in Saigon, looking forward to the next trip.
