🐒 Kam Shan, Hong Kong, a mountain where you can see monkeys when you get off the bus

When you trek in Hong Kong, you will encounter animals that are hard to see in Korea. Bisons and monkeys are such friends. Kamsan is a trekking course that is close to the city center, but where you can see monkeys from the very beginning. When you get off at the ‘Shek Lai Pui Reservoir’ bus stop, you can see monkeys wandering around from the roof of the toilet and the trees above it. The red-faced adult monkeys are mostly near the stop, and the baby monkeys usually roll around and play among themselves on the forest trail. The monkeys come close enough to sit right next to a person standing, but it is prohibited by law to touch or feed the monkeys. If you walk for about 7 minutes on the path under the toilet, you will come to the ‘Kowloon Byewash Reservoir Dam. ’ The reservoir seen from the bridge and the steep slope on the other side offer a unique view. After crossing the bridge while watching the fish swimming in the reservoir, you will come across a fork in the road that divides into stone steps going up next to the barbecue area and an asphalt road.
