Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong

#HongKongVictoriaHarbour is a seaport located in Hong Kong, between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon Peninsula, with both sides being the central business district of Hong Kong. Due to its deep waters and wide harbor, Hong Kong is also known as the "Pearl of the Orient". Looking down at Victoria Harbour from the sky above Hong Kong Island, the British government saw the potential of Victoria Harbour to become an excellent port in East Asia. Later, during the First Opium War and the Second Opium War, the British government signed the Treaty of Nanjing and the Treaty of Beijing respectively, ceding Hong Kong to the Qing Dynasty. The British government then built Hong Kong with Victoria Harbour as its centre, using it as a base to develop its maritime trade in the Far East. Victoria Harbour has always dominated the development of Hong Kong's economy and tourism industry and is one of the keys to Hong Kong's becoming a major international city.
