Fei Ngo Shan: A Scenic Escape in Kowloon

Fei Ngo Shan, located in East Kowloon, is one of the iconic peaks in the area. Starting from Tsz Wan Shan, hikers ascend step by step, gradually revealing a vast and open view. The most awe-inspiring moment comes upon reaching the summit, where the panoramic view of the Kowloon Peninsula unfolds. Especially during dawn or dusk, the light piercing through the clouds creates a spectacular scene of intertwined urban and natural landscapes, with even the distant Lion Rock visible in its entirety. The mountain is best known for its "Lover's Rock" and viewing platform, where couples and photographers often gather to capture the changing light and shadows. On the day I climbed the mountain with friends, despite being out of breath, we were greeted at the summit by a refreshing breeze and picturesque scenery, making all the effort worthwhile. The charm of Fei Ngo Shan lies in its ability to offer a bird's-eye view of life, reminding us that beyond the crowded hustle of daily life, there exists a vast world and a broader state of mind.
