Satisfying Dad for Less Than $100. A new congee shop has opened on the ground floor of the Citistore. I brought my dad, who loves congee, to try it out. The place wasn’t crowded, and the seating arrangement was spacious and bright, making it very comfortable. There are large glass windows for natural lighting, and the food was served quickly! Menu: - Lettuce, Corn, and Lean Pork Congee $30: Generous ingredients mixed into the congee base. The flavor is mainly the light sweetness of corn. The congee is thick, smooth, and creamy! - Century Egg and Lean Pork Congee $29: Originally wanted to add half a salted egg, but this congee doesn’t allow add-ons. The congee base is flavorful enough, with plenty of shredded pork, making it very filling! - Dried Shrimp Rice Rolls $17: Packed with dried shrimp and scallions, very fragrant and full of ingredients! Great value for money! - Fried Dough Sticks $11: Haven’t had these in a while, very nostalgic. Already cut into pieces, quite large. Crispy on the outside and soft inside, perfect for pairing with congee. - Brown Sugar Sponge Cake $8: Cut into triangular pieces, with a moist texture like a cake.
