Transportation Guide from Macau to Hong Kong Tsz Shan Monastery

Taking the ferry plus MTR route is convenient and efficient. First, board the "TurboJET" or "Cotai Water Jet" at Macau Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal or Taipa Ferry Terminal to Hong Kong China Ferry Terminal (Kowloon) or Macau Ferry Terminal (Hong Kong Island). The ferry ride takes about 1 hour, with a one-way economy ticket priced between HKD 175-200. Upon arrival in Kowloon, walk from China Ferry Terminal to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station, then take the East Rail Line to Tai Po Market Station Exit A; if arriving on Hong Kong Island, take the MTR from Macau Ferry Terminal to Central Station, then transfer to the East Rail Line to Tai Po Market Station. After arriving at Tai Po Market Station Exit A, it is recommended to take minibus 20T directly to the entrance of Tsz Shan Monastery, which takes about 15 minutes; if taking minibus 20B/20C, get off at "Tsz Shan Monastery Road Junction" and walk uphill for about 10 minutes to reach the monastery. Remember to book your visit in advance through the Tsz Shan Monastery official website, phone, or app (tickets are released daily at 8 AM, available for about one month in advance, with a maximum of 6 people per booking). Upon entering the monastery, you can receive a "Ten Vows" stamp card for check-in. At noon (12 PM), pick up a free vegetarian bun at the monastery restaurant, and after 1:30 PM, enjoy free refreshments such as tiramisu and other cakes (which change daily) at the café.
