Kansai-Style Sukiyaki in Tsim Sha Tsui

Sukiyaki Kansai specializes in Kansai-style sukiyaki and has now opened a branch in Tsim Sha Tsui. Upon entering the restaurant, you'll be greeted by a giant wagyu beef model, which is quite impressive! The staff arranged counter seating for us, where each person gets their own pot for cooking. The menu offers several cuts of wagyu beef for sukiyaki, and this time we tried two different options! 🔸 Japanese Black Wagyu Chuck Sukiyaki Set (Large) $258 🔸 Premium Lean Sukiyaki Set (Regular) $168 The wagyu chuck had a beautiful marbling, evenly distributed fat, and a rich beef flavor. The meat was tender and juicy, and when paired with their homemade sukiyaki sauce and Ranou egg dip, it was even more delicious. The lean cut had less marbling but still boasted a fragrant beef flavor and a soft, delicate texture, making it a great value choice! Each set includes appetizers, a vegetable platter, Ranou egg, Japanese rice or Sanuki udon, and dessert, making it a very satisfying meal! The vegetable platter features a variety of options like shiitake mushrooms, tofu, yuba, scallions, napa cabbage, and konjac noodles, which you can add to the sukiyaki sauce or kombu broth as you like. We opted for the Sanuki udon this time, which absorbed the sukiyaki broth beautifully and had a chewy texture.
