When it comes to going to Lamma Island🤔most people go to Yung Shue Wan. This time I went to a place less visited by people 💁🏻‍♀️-Mo Tat Bay. It’s also my first time to go there. There are instructions at the bottom, so I’ll introduce them first~ Mo Tat Bay is not big. At first glance, there are only a row of houses and houses on the hill. There are also only a handful of shops and restaurants. There are not many people on the road, but there are clear sea beaches, sea-scented air, and the blue sea and blue sky as a backdrop. The small island is exceptionally quiet and comfortable☺️It would be great to swim in summer! I had read online articles before coming here. This place is relatively primitive, and it is also the birthplace of Fat Brother-Chow Yun-fat! But this time I will update. Mobile phone communication can also make calls and surf the Internet. The public toilets are also ready and are at the disembarkation pier, so you don’t have to worry about these two aspects😆 After walking here for a while, we set off to Sok Kwu Wan. The starting point of the route is a small road next to The Bay, Xinglang Restaurant. After going up the stairs, you will see a road sign. There are branch roads heading towards Seac Pai Wan and Sok Kwu Wan. Be sure to follow the road sign! 😉 After walking for a while, you can see the entire Moda Bay scenery, which is very beautiful! After that, you will see fishermen's farms and sewage treatment plants. When you walk to the playground, you will reach Sok Kwu Wan. It takes about 45 minutes to get there slowly. The road is relatively flat and easy to walk, but be careful as there are small trucks passing by along the road. Delivery! After arriving at Sok Kwu Wan, you will see a pier, a library, public toilets, many seafood restaurants, shopping malls, a police station, residential buildings, and a Tin Hau Temple. Here are the ones I have visited for your reference. 😉 🔸Lamma Island Southern Public Library The library is next to the pier and is only open for two days, on Tuesdays and Fridays. This library is one of the few that I have ever seen open. The library is not large, and there are several bookshelves filled with books~ 🔸LOSO Lu Xu Ji I'm hungry! I went to this restaurant to eat. The indoor environment is comfortable. I chose a seaside seat. The glass table is equipped with rattan seats. It is very comfortable to eat while looking at the sea view. The staff is also very enthusiastic. They will remind diners of the time when they know the boat schedule. They have Western-style pasta here. Or rice, French fries, salad, snacks, beer... I ordered two lunches and lemon grapefruit tea, which tasted very good😋 🔸Lamma Island Fishermen Cultural Village You can buy tickets and take a shuttle boat to visit the cultural village. There are guided tours and fishing games. Tickets cost $60 to $128. There are tickets for adults and children. The opening hours are 10:15 to 18:00. I didn’t participate because I arrived too late. So take a look inside the shop. It sells some souvenirs, dried seafood, snacks... I bought a few things, among which the popular shrimp cakes and the fleshy dried pineapple are worth recommending! The shrimps are crispy, salty and fragrant, and paired with shrimp paste. This is the first time I have eaten this combination. It is delicious! The pulp of dried pineapple is super plump and not dry at all. When you eat the whole pineapple flesh, it is sweet and delicious! There are also many kinds of snacks, you can buy more as souvenirs or for your own use😂 🔸Hua Kee There is a wide variety of seafood shops. The clerks are very enthusiastic and know the effects of various seafoods. It is also a good idea to buy some as gifts for elders and friends! Among them, I bought ready-to-eat grouper breasts, which retain the texture of the fish, and the seasoning brings out the freshness of the fish, which is very good! 😊 🔸Mango King The glutinous rice cakes are worth recommending😆 I tried the Golden Pillow and Musang King flavors. There is very plump durian meat inside, and it is delicious when eaten with the soft and thin glutinous rice skin! What is worthy of praise is that the skin of the glutinous rice is not thick and not sticky to the teeth, and it is soft and glutinous without being greasy. There are also chocolate-flavored and classic mango-flavored glutinous rice cakes. The boss also recommends hand-made cuttlefish balls. I just had a full meal and didn’t have much room, so I’ll try it again next time😋 🔸Tin Hau Temple It has a history of more than a hundred years and faces the sea. The area inside the temple is not large. There are fragrances provided for devotees to burn incense outside the temple after paying homage. You can also bring your own sacrifices to worship. See the Queen of Heaven. Among them, there is an oarfish specimen that is more than one meter long. Since photography is not allowed, those who want to see it have to go and see it in person 😉 After visiting the above, I originally wanted to walk to Yung Shue Wan, but unfortunately the weather was not as expected - it rained! It should take more than an hour to walk there, so I gave up and took the boat back🚤 This walking route is relatively easy to walk today, so you can take your children or pets with you! If you want to participate in the cultural village activities, it is recommended to go in the morning, or directly take a boat to Sok Kwu Wan and spend the whole day. If you want to complete the entire Lamma Island route, you have to start in the morning and bring enough water and a small amount of snacks!
