The only railway history museum in Hong Kong

The Hong Kong Railway Museum in the center of Tai Po City is not very large, but it covers an area of ​​6,500 square meters. The old railway station building was built in 1913 in the style of traditional Chinese architecture. It was listed as a statutory monument in 1984. After restoration, the museum was opened to the public free of charge in 1985. The first time I visited, I felt it was an eye-opener. It was a bit like Taiwan's Jiufen and Shifen, because there were many exhibits that were not from this era, which allowed the younger generation to better understand the history of railway development.
