I thought Wuzhen was beautiful until I visited Nanxun...
💫 I regret not visiting this permanently free ancient town earlier. The town is quite large, and it takes about 3 hours to walk around, eat, and explore. With the Spring Festival approaching, consider visiting this ancient town!
📍Location: Nanxun Ancient Town is located in Nanxun District, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province.
🚗Transportation: If traveling by high-speed rail, you can first arrive at Huzhou Station and then transfer to Bus 101 to reach Nanxun Ancient Town. If driving, navigate to the North Gate Parking Lot of Nanxun Ancient Town, as there are relatively fewer people at the North Gate.
🎫Tickets: The main entrance to the ancient town is free, but some small attractions require separate tickets. You can also purchase a combined ticket.
💫Daytime in Nanxun Ancient Town
👉Tranquil Water Town Scenery: During the off-season, Nanxun Ancient Town has fewer tourists. Walking on the bluestone road, you can almost hear the echoes of history. The ancient buildings with white walls and black tiles are scattered along the riverbanks, with small bridges, flowing water, and weeping willows, creating a picturesque Jiangnan water town scene. Sunlight sparkles on the river, and occasionally, a small boat glides by, creating ripples, peaceful and beautiful.
✨Cultural Attractions: Xiaolian Manor is a must-visit attraction. As a private garden of a wealthy family in the Qing Dynasty, its exquisite layout and the charm of ancient architecture are captivating. Jiaye Library is rich in books and has a unique architectural style. Walking inside, you can almost smell the faint scent of books. Zhang Shiming's Former Residence is another highlight, with its blend of Chinese and Western architectural styles, exquisite carvings, and decorations, showcasing the luxury and taste of wealthy families of the time.
🌟Nighttime in Nanxun Ancient Town
👉Charming Night Scenery: The night view of Nanxun Ancient Town is a must-see. The brightly lit ancient buildings are reflected in the river, like a flowing ink painting. Under the lights, Baijianlou appears more ancient and elegant. As the lights come on, sitting by the river with friends, drinking tea, chatting, and enjoying the night view is incredibly pleasant. Rowboats shuttle through the river, and the red lanterns on the boats intertwine with the lights on both banks, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.
👉Gourmet Feast: Nanxun's food is even more attractive at night. Shuangjiao Noodles is a local specialty breakfast, with chewy noodles and delicious toppings that leave a lasting impression. Plum Blossom Dumplings, Lotus Root Starch Cake, and other snacks are also not to be missed, sweet but not greasy, with a soft and glutinous texture. In addition, there are Xun Trotters, Smoked Bean Tea, and other delicacies, which are simply irresistible.
