Iceland's unforgettable blue ice caves

This year, the Blue Ice Cave collapsed, so all entries before October were cancelled. We were lucky to be among the first few to go in October. It’s hard not to appreciate the wonders of nature! Be sure to join a tour that's more than 6 hours long, not a 4-hour one, because you won't have enough fun! Itinerary: If you have booked a 9am tour, the tour guide will first check whether your shoes are suitable for climbing the glacier. If not, you can rent shoes on site at a cost of 1000ISK. Then traction ropes, helmets and crampons will be distributed, and the journey takes 45 minutes. Then we started walking on the glacier. Since each ice cave is a certain distance away, it will be a glacier hike. We entered a total of four small ice caves, and one black ice cave. Tips: - Wear waterproof and warm clothes. It will be a bit hot when hiking on the glacier in the sun at the beginning, but it will be very cold when it is very windy and when entering the ice cave. I wore 5 tops and still felt cold. -Prepare windproof accessories, there is no shelter on the glacier and it is very windy -Have a hearty breakfast and bring a hot water bottle, because we will continue walking for 6 hours and there will be no time to stop and eat.
