Banff and Jasper really leave a lasting impression! Even after being back for a week, looking through photos still makes me feel it wasn't enough. We chose to go in mid-June to avoid the peak crowds of July and August, plus the weather was relatively warmer with most lake ice already melted. The overall experience was excellent—no queues at attractions, parking difficulties, or traffic jams at all. Although we encountered a cold front in the last two days of June, it showed us a different side of Banff's beauty. The town had rain all day, and the next morning we woke up to snow on the mountains. Before finalizing our itinerary, I purchased the Pursuit Pass in advance, which covers tickets to most major attractions, including the highly sought-after Maligne Lake cruise. After securing our Maligne Lake time slot, adjusting other attractions' schedules was easy. For Moraine Lake's shuttle bus, I only managed to get afternoon tickets, but the upside was no queues—we boarded immediately. Since it was already evening, with the last return bus at 7:30 PM, the staff kindly suggested we skip the shuttle from Moraine to Lake Louise and drive there ourselves after 7:30 PM, as parking would be available with fewer people. The only downside was the fading light, making the lake colors less vibrant and leaving no time for hiking trails. This time, we opted for an RV road trip, staying at park campgrounds. The biggest advantage was having meals anytime—just pull over to cook while enjoying stunning views with homemade food. I highly recommend Silverhorn Campground (see photos 5 & 6)—breathtaking scenery with a lake, creek, and trails, plus fewer campers. Lastly, I recommend Fraserway RV Rentals in Canada. Their RVs are generally newer, with quality interiors and well-equipped kitchens, all at reasonable prices.
