The Mark of History - Ipoh Tour

Today we returned to Ipoh from Taiping and visited two sites of great historical value along the way. First, we went to the Victoria Bridge in Kuala Kangsar, which is the earliest railway bridge in Malaysia. Construction began in 1897 and was completed in 1900. After the establishment of the Federation of Malay States, the British rulers began to actively expand railways to transport resources in order to develop and transport tin on the peninsula. The opening ceremony was attended by Sultan Idris and the Councillors. It was one thousand feet long and is now abandoned. During World War II, the railway was destroyed by the British army and repaired after the war. Afterwards, we visited a tin mining iron ship named TT5 near Kampar. This old iron ship weighed 4,500 tons and was anchored in an abandoned mining lake. The vessel ceased operations in 1982 following the collapse of the international tin market. After visiting these two attractions today, I feel that many things today will become history faster! #Good place for families
