[7,000 lanterns] Wabuchi Summer Festival

Every year on August 15th, the Wabuchi Summer Festival is held at the Wabuchi Waterside School in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture. 7,000 colorful lanterns light up the night with a fantastic atmosphere. Many people flock to the festival every year to take photos of this view. I am also impressed by the colorful lights that stretch as far as the eye can see every year! *Due to the coronavirus, the festival was canceled in 2020 and 2021, but it was revived last year. It is a small festival in a small area, but it is very beautiful, so why not come and visit? If you are coming by car, it is easier to find the festival if you head to Wabuchi Elementary School and Kamitori Bridge as your destinations.
