#myhiddengems My visit to Polonezköy Zoo Park was such a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of Istanbul! 🌳 Located in the peaceful village of Polonezköy, about an hour’s drive from the city, this zoo park is the perfect spot for a family day out. The entrance fee is quite reasonable at around 50 TRY, making it an affordable activity for everyone. 🐾 The park itself is not huge, but it’s beautifully laid out with plenty of greenery, shaded pathways, and picnic areas. The zoo has a variety of animals, from cute rabbits and ponies to more exotic creatures like peacocks, llamas, and even some big cats! 🦁 The enclosures are spacious and well-kept, and it was clear that the animals are well cared for. I loved the petting area where you can feed and interact with the farm animals – the kids were thrilled to be so close to the goats and sheep! 🐐 After exploring the zoo, we had a delicious meal at the on-site restaurant, which serves up traditional Turkish dishes with a view of the surrounding forests. 🍽️ The park also has a playground and a small pond where you can paddle boat, adding to the overall experience. If you have time, I recommend taking a stroll through the nearby Polonezköy Nature Park, which offers some lovely walking trails.
