It is now often used as a transit base in Europe. Most of the attractions are concentrated in the old town. Please check this two-day itinerary. ✅Weather: Istanbul in early February is about 0-10℃ ✅Transportation: Buy a transportation card from the airport to the hotel, use public transportation, and the scenic spots are within walking distance and concentrated. ✅Note: The locals believe in Islam, so it is best to carry a headscarf with you at all times so that you can cover your hair when entering certain attractions. Tour route: ✅Day1: Hippodrome of Constantinople (Obelisk) 👉 Blue Mosque 👉 Mausoleum complex 👉 Grand Bazaar and Small Bazaar → Bosphorus Strait ferry 👉 Arrive in Asia and continue to take a boat back 📌Obelisk Located in the Hippodrome of Constantinople, also known as the "Egyptian Obelisk", it was transported to Istanbul by Emperor Theodosius I of the Roman Empire and erected on the central axis of the Hippodrome. 📌Blue Mosque Tickets: Free Women must wear headscarves and take off shoes when entering. Although you can’t go up to the second floor, the dome and window grilles inside are still very beautiful. But it is not as beautiful as the Blue Mosque in Kuala Lumpur. 📌Mausoleum complex The mausoleum in the middle belongs to Sultan Ahmet I. It is still very shocking to see so many mausoleums. 📌Big Bazaar + Small Bazaar Remember to bargain! ! I recommend the small bazaar. For detailed guide, please refer to my other note. 📌Bosphorus Strait ferry (the most cost-effective experience) Cruise price: more than 7 RMB. It is recommended to take a ride from Eminonu to Kadikoy. You can enjoy various attractions in the old city along the way. But I took the wrong train from Eminonu to UsKudar, which was also pretty good. I arrived at the Asian area and then returned the same way, walking across the bridge between the old town and the new town. You can enjoy the sunset and evening glow of the day on the boat ✅Day2: Topkapi Palace (Old Palace) + Hagia Sophia 📌Topkapi Palace Ticket: 2000 liras/person (the most expensive attraction in Istanbul, but it is worth seeing!) The Old Palace is worth spending a whole day, and its status is equivalent to our Forbidden City. It is right next to Hagia Sophia. The palace is divided into four courtyards, each with its own unique features. The more interesting ones are the kitchen and the harem. The ticket to the harem is already included in the ticket, so there is no need to buy additional tickets. The book-shaped clock seen in the second courtyard. There are also various blue and white porcelain vessels, the bedrooms in the harem, and the back garden of the fourth courtyard is also very nice. PS: Since I have to catch a flight in the evening, I will leave the Hagia Sophia for next time. If you have time, you can arrange it on the same day. The Basilica Cistern is also worth a visit, and the Basilica Cistern can also be visited at night, but the tickets are more expensive at night.
