[Itoshima] Explore Totoro's forest in Fukuoka and eat delicious salt pudding

We arrived in Fukuoka before noon and had mentaiko rice for lunch. We headed to Itoshima! It takes just under an hour by car from Fukuoka city. Everywhere was stylish and had a relaxed and calm atmosphere, which was great! The weather was bad this time, so I definitely want to go again!! ○Totoro Forest There is a bush that looks similar to the road that Mei and Satsuki take to Totoro's location in the Totoro movie. Just looking at the entrance makes me excited! When you actually go in, there is a small staircase that goes up and you come out onto a hill. The view from there is a view of the crystal clear sea as far as the eye can see, and it was really beautiful!! If you go further, you will reach the coast. The road on the way was also very fun, like an adventure. There are benches on the coast where you can take a relaxing break and look out over the beautiful sea. ○Mataichi no Shio This is a salt pudding shop located just under a 5-minute drive from Totoro Forest. The exterior is made of wood and is very stylish! You can climb onto the roof, there's a wooden seesaw, it's definitely Instagram-worthy. And the pudding was sooooo good! I was surprised. It was a taste I'd never had before, and if it was in my neighborhood, I'd buy it regularly. If you go to Itoshima, please stop by!! !
