Jeongbangsa Temple is a great place for a picnic during your trip to Jecheon.

#Picnic ✨️Jeongbangsa✨️ is a traditional temple located in Neunggang-ri, Susan-myeon, Jecheon-si, Chungcheongbuk-do. It is a temple located on the ridge of Sinsunbong at the foot of Geumsu Mountain, 1,016m above sea level, and was founded by Great Monk Uisang in 662 (the second year of King Munmu of Silla). You can drive up to it, and there is a great space where you can see Cheongpyeong Lake both above and below the temple, so it is a great place to enjoy a picnic. It is a branch temple of Beopjusa Temple in Sokri Mountain of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, and it is introduced as Sanbangsa Temple. There is a legend that Uisang threw his staff to build a temple after attaining enlightenment, and it flew here and got stuck, so he built a temple. There is also a record in the temple history that the current Buddhist temple was renovated in 1825. There are a main hall, a yosa, and Hyeonhyemun within the temple grounds. The main hall built in 1825 has 12 rooms, and the yosa is a wooden tile-roofed house with 5 rooms.
