The Kim Man-deok Memorial Hall is the first sharing and culture exhibition hall in Korea, and is a sharing space that inherits and practices Kim Man-deok's spirit of sharing and service. Man-deok lost her parents during her childhood and became a gisaeng, but in an era when the class system was strong, she regained her status as a commoner (woman) and became a merchant. It contains the spirit of challenge that overcame hardship and adversity. This is the righteous Kim Man-deok who practiced sharing by giving all her assets as rice to save Jeju residents who were suffering from continuous famine. What is sharing?
