Poetic Jieyang, a two-day dream-seeking journey

Follow my steps and start this poetic and dreamy journey together👇. 🚢 Day 1: The ancient charm of Rongcheng and the green shadow of Qishan🌳 When I first arrived in Jieyang, the morning light was just breaking and the whole city was still a little sleepy. I couldn't wait to rush to the ancient street of Rongcheng, which was full of historical charm. Stepping into the ancient street, the bluestone slabs under your feet, polished smooth by time, seem to be whispering stories of the past🎵. The arcade buildings on the street are unique, with mottled walls, exquisite wood carvings and delicate inlaid porcelain craftsmanship, all of which demonstrate the profound cultural heritage of the Chaoshan area. I walked slowly, feeling the breeze brushing my cheeks, and the wind seemed to be mixed with the breath of history. Climb up the Rongcheng Tower and look into the distance, and you can have a panoramic view of the entire Jieyang city. In the distance, the mountains are undulating, contrasting with the blue sky and white clouds; in the near distance, the red-tiled roofs of the ancient streets are arranged in an orderly manner, and the streets are bustling with traffic, presenting a prosperous scene. By lunch time, my stomach was already rumbling, so authentic Rongcheng tofu and delicious casserole porridge naturally became the first choice. Rongcheng tofu has a delicate texture and is as soft as mutton-fat jade. When steaming it, simply drizzle some light soy sauce, sprinkle with chopped green onions and a few drops of sesame oil, and the freshness and bean fragrance of the tofu itself will be perfectly brought out. It melts in your mouth and leaves you with an endless aftertaste. Clay pot porridge is made with freshly caught shrimp, crab, shellfish and other ingredients, which are slowly cooked in a clay pot with plump fragrant rice. As the temperature rises, the deliciousness of the ingredients gradually blends into the thick and dense porridge base, and the aroma fills the air. Along the way, you can also see many ancient cliff carvings. The words on them are vigorous and powerful, recording the vicissitudes of time. Climb to the top of the mountain and overlook the surroundings. You will see rolling hills, green trees and fresh air that makes you feel refreshed. Wandering in the ancient town at the foot of Huangqi Mountain, the old houses and mottled walls seem to go back in time, immersing people in the quaint and peaceful atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. As night falls, we return to the city, where the night market is brightly lit, with the smoky smell of the barbecue stalls and the fresh aroma of the seafood stalls intertwined. The sizzling grilled skewers, sprinkled with cumin and chili powder, are fragrant; the plump seafood, either steamed or stir-fried, tastes like the sea in every bite. Don't miss this carnival on the tip of your tongue 🍗🦀. 🌟 Day 2: Rongjiang style and dazzling night scenery🌃 The second day's itinerary was even more exciting! I took a cruise on the Rongjiang River, and it felt like I had stepped into a flowing landscape painting. On both sides of the Rongjiang River, modern high-rise buildings and traditional dwellings with Chaoshan characteristics complement each other, forming a unique landscape. Along the way, you can also see the life scenes of the people living on the water, with children laughing and playing at the bow and adults busy with housework at the stern, full of the breath of life. On the boat, local folk song and dance performances were performed brilliantly. The dancers were dressed in colorful costumes, accompanied by cheerful music, with graceful dance moves and melodious singing. While enjoying the beautiful scenery, people deeply felt the strong Chaoshan cultural atmosphere, and their body and mind were greatly enjoyed. Enjoy lunch by the river. The fresh river food just caught from the river, whether it is the tender and smooth steamed sea bass or the original flavor of blanched shrimp, can let you taste the purest taste of nature. The delicious taste, as if carrying the vitality of river water, is unforgettable. In the afternoon, I continued to explore the beauty of Jieyang, and both Xianqiao Scenic Area and Xichang Lake Park left my happy footprints. Xianqiao Scenic Area is a place where mountains and water coexist, and it is quiet and peaceful. A clear stream meanders through the mountains, and the grotesque rocks by the stream are of various shapes, which make people marvel at the wonders of nature. In Xichang Lake Park, the lake is sparkling and surrounded by green trees. Strolling along the trail by the lake with the breeze blowing on your face is very picturesque. Return to the city again at night to experience a different nightlife. The bars and night markets on the street are bustling with people laughing and talking.
