Hey, everyone! I just returned from a happy trip to Xishuangbanna with my 3-year-old daughter🥳! This trip was totally worth it. I've put together a super comprehensive guide, so families with kids should save this! Day 1: Gaozhuang Xishuangjing Morning: Arrive in Xishuangbanna and check in to a family-friendly hotel near Gaozhuang to let your baby adapt to the local climate and get some rest💤. Afternoon: Take a leisurely stroll around Gaozhuang Xishuangjing. Although the Stupa is currently under renovation, don't worry, there are still many fun things to do in Gaozhuang Xishuangjing. We bought a national-style dress👗 for our daughter in a unique street shop. Evening: Visit the Gaozhuang Night Market, where the stars are shining🌟 and there are countless snacks. When we got tired, we went to the Pu Zuo Rainforest Thai Restaurant. The best spot to take photos with the Stupa📷 is here! As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're in a Southeast Asian rainforest🌴. The unique decor is super atmospheric. Their signature Tom Yum soup🥘 is rich and delicious, and the shrimp inside are big and fresh🦐. My daughter drank several mouthfuls. The Thai pineapple fried rice🍍 is sweet and sour, and the sweetness of the pineapple blends perfectly with the rice. After eating, we took photos in the restaurant, which turned out great! Day 2: Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences Morning: Chartered a car to the botanical garden. On the way, we told our daughter about plants, and the little one was so excited🥰. When we arrived at the botanical garden, we took a sightseeing bus through various amazing plants. We saw the giant Victoria water lily🌱 with our own eyes, and we were able to teach our child about it. Afternoon: Continue to explore the park and participate in some family-friendly science activities. Our daughter learned a lot of new things and was able to observe small insects up close🐞, which was especially interesting. When we got tired, we found a place near the park to eat something simple to replenish our energy. Day 3: Manting Park + The General Buddhist Temple Morning: Go to Manting Park, which is like a fairy tale world🎠, with many beautiful buildings and large green spaces. Rent a set of Dai costumes👘 for the whole family and take lots of beautiful photos with our daughter. She was so happy😄. Afternoon: Visit the General Buddhist Temple to experience the local Buddhist culture, tell our daughter stories about the temple, and cultivate her cultural awareness🙏.
