"The First Buddhist Mountain Outside the Great Wall" - Beiputuo Mountain

On a sunny weekend, our family came to Beiputuo Mountain, which is known as the "No. 1 Cave Heaven" in Liaoning and the "No. 1 Buddhist Mountain" outside the Great Wall. What’s surprising is that you can drive up the mountain in the scenic area. Beiputuo Mountain is the manifestation place of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva in the north. Zhuduan Temple was built in the first year of Wude in Tang Dynasty. In Liao Dynasty, Emperor Yelu Bei lived in this mountain for a long time. After the great monk De Shao petitioned the Empress Dowager of Liao, it was officially named Beiputuo Mountain and became famous throughout the world. We worshipped devoutly before the 25-meter-tall statue of Dripping Guanyin. The temple was like a fairyland with the sound of Sanskrit lingering in the air. We lingered in the mountain scenic spots, surrounded by lush greenery and fresh air. With its beautiful natural scenery and rich historical and cultural relics, Beiputuo Mountain is worthy of being called the "No. 1 Buddhist Mountain" outside the Great Wall!
