🚂I've long heard of the famous 36+3 special trains in Kyushu, but since the trains circle Kyushu for five days, with different routes each day, it's a bit difficult to fit them into my itinerary. This time I finally got to ride the black route on Friday: Kagoshima-Chuo → Kirishima-Jingu → Osumi-Okawara → Miyazaki. Kagoshima-Chuo Station Kirishima-Jingu Shrine Ancient Palace Ruins ❤Origin of the name: 36 represents Kyushu Island, the 36th largest island in the world, and also implies 35 wonderful stories gathered in Kyushu, plus the 36th beauty waiting to be discovered by passengers; "+3" represents that the train is born to deliver surprises, create emotions, and bring happiness. In addition, 36+3=39, which sounds like "Thank You" in Japanese. 🚂Carriage Configuration: 🔸Carriages 1-3: Deluxe compartment seats with dark wood decoration, incorporating local Kyushu crafts and retro patterns. In particular, the floor of Carriage 1 is made of tatami mats made from straw produced in Yatsushiro, Kumamoto Prefecture, and shoes must be removed. Carriage 1 has only 4 compartments. After boarding, there are 2 wardrobes in the aisle of each compartment where you can hang clothes and shoes, which is very reasonable. 🔹Carriage 4: A multi-functional carriage with tables and chairs for tourists to rest, selling special products, drinks, etc. It also offers in-car activities such as Kyushu tea experience, plum experience, and local product introduction according to different routes. 🔸Carriages 5 and 6: Feature a spacious 2+1 seat arrangement. The back of each soft seat has a fur storage bag and a spacious foldable tray table.
