Alpine plants of Mt. Kurodake, Hokkaido

Many alpine plants can be seen on Mt. Kurodake in Hokkaido. From June to July, many alpine flower fields spread out. Then, in mid-September, autumn comes early to Mt. Kurodake, and the leaves begin to change color. The most beautiful of the autumn leaves are the red leaves of the Ainguruma. The contrast between the green and red is beautiful.
