The shrine's main deities include Ukanomitama, the god of food, commonly known as Inari Okami; Toyouke-hime, also known as Toyouke Okami; and Omiyame, the goddess who safeguards the palace's peace. Nestled beside Fukada Pond and surrounded by dense trees, this modest and unassuming shrine is easy to miss. Unlike the grandeur of Kashihara Shrine, Nagayama Inari Shrine is understated yet revered for its spiritual efficacy, attracting a steady stream of worshippers. On the approach to the shrine, visitors may encounter a large pottery market showcasing exquisite ceramics from across Japan. Interestingly, Kashihara City has collaborated with the Street Fighter franchise, and sculptures inspired by the game can be found scattered around the streets.
