[Saitama Prefecture] A shrine that has been watching over since the Muromachi period

Karasuyama Inari Shrine 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 Karasuyama Inari Shrine is located in Nakamachi, Kawagoe City. When Ota Michizane built Kawagoe Castle, he cut down trees here because Mt. Fuji was not visible. He discovered a shrine and a prayer from the Genji clan there. He considered this to be a good omen and built a shrine building in 1469. The shrine was deeply revered by successive Kawagoe feudal lords, and the plaque dedicated to Karasuyama Shrine by Matsudaira Nariaki still remains. 　 This shrine, located on a mound, is said to have been called Karasuyama Inari Shrine because crows used to flock to it.
