The starry sky was so beautiful I can't put it into words Odaigahara is said to have the second highest annual rainfall after Yakushima It was a night when a miracle happened I'll leave this as a memo for those who will go stargazing at the next new moon, and above all for myself 17:00 Arrived at the parking lot 🚗³₃ There were some pretty narrow roads along the way The last I saw of a convenience store was about 30 minutes away ⚠︎︎The last toilet was at this parking lot! Started climbing 18:00 Masaki Pass (about 40 minutes) I wanted to get up while it was still light Had bread as a snack while looking at the spectacular view here 🍞 After 19:00 Magic hour I was moved by the fantastical world Moved to a place with dead trees just over 10 minutes away 20:00 I was moved by the authentic starry sky ⚠︎︎It's freezing cold Even in July, I wanted a hard shell jacket After 21:00 Started descending On the way back, I was able to return to the parking lot in less than 40 minutes There were people climbing at this time too ⚠︎︎It's definitely easier with a headlamp Good weather at Odaigahara, and a new moon, which is a miracle It's really wonderful, so if you have the chance, please do it! However, I'm worried about the cold and bears Cold weather measures are essential! If you see a bear, evacuate immediately.
