Kinsugi

Satisfying ala carte experience here. Tried both signature sets~ wagyu donabe gohan (RM120) , and Nagano walnut soba (RM138). The mizuna salad was very fresh and each bite was a delightful crunch. Homemade tofu was refreshing, like tofufah. The grilled fish with yukimi daikon was very interesting because it was like eating radish snow. However, it left a slight bitter aftertaste. The wagyu claypot rice was excellent. So flavourful and the beef was very tender. I'm not a rice person, but I actually polished it all. Crab and truffle chawan mushi was balanced, not overpowering. Sashimi was fresh. Walnut oil is frozen with liquid nitrogen for the soba, but i don't really get the taste. More from the tsuyu dipping sauce mixed with freshly ground walnut and shisho. Overall happy with my meal. Pet peeve: tables with no proper leg space. #malaysia
