Over 500 sakura trees stretch along the Arakawa River for nearly two kilometers — and when they bloom, it’s like the whole path turns into a pink tunnel. Locals had already staked out their tarps and were deep into their hanami picnics — grilled yakitori, sake, karaoke speakers, the works. I loved how festive it was, without feeling touristy. I grabbed a sweet potato from a stand and just walked under the blossoms with music and laughter echoing around me. I timed it with sunset and the sky lit up in oranges and purples above the flowers. If your #cherryblossom25 vibe is “go big or go home,” this spot hits hard.
