Kunming | The Century-old Bookstore Hidden in the City - Dongfang Bookstore.

Every time I visit a city, I prefer city walks to various attractions. I have visited every pedestrian street in Kunming, and unexpectedly, I found this nearly century-old bookstore with a profound history - Dongfang Bookstore on the bustling and lively old street of Kunming. Wen Yiduo, Wang Zengqi, Lin Huiyin... Many famous scholars visited Dongfang Bookstore during the period of the National Southwestern Associated University, which has accumulated a strong historical and cultural atmosphere. Even now, when you step into the bookstore, you can still feel the marks they left. The bookstore maintains a simple and elegant decoration. There are two floors in total, and books are stacked randomly along the wooden stairs - but when you look carefully at the letters, ink, and photos in every corner, you can see the extraordinary of this bookstore. The upstairs area is large, and you can order a cup of coffee and sit down to read a book you like. The window faces the street market downstairs. From time to time, you can hear the shouting of the shops and the noise of the tourists. The room is so quiet that you can only hear the sound of turning pages and the creaking sound of walking on the wooden floor. I really like the wonderful atmosphere of the fusion of the fireworks and the bookishness!! There are some souvenirs for sale on the first floor.
