Myokenji is one of the four major temples of the Nichiren Sect in Japan, located in the Kamigyo Ward of Kyoto, and was once a temple where Toyotomi Hideyoshi often lived. Even during the peak tourist season in Kyoto, there are few people in Myokenji. The dry landscape garden in the autumn leaves season has become a beautiful painting. Myokenji has a 'Bao Yiqu Shui Pavilion', which is a courtyard for monks to practice. In the center of the courtyard is a water koto cave. When you scoop water and pour it on the stone, you can hear the pleasant sound of flowing water.
