Glory in Light and Shadow: My Affair with Kyoto

Initially, I walked into the ancient city of Kyoto in a daze. In the depths of the alley, an old wooden sign saying 'Miryoku Hall' attracted me. As if there was a mysterious force, leading me into this century-old house. 🏯 That day, the summer heat carried a hint of coolness. When I pushed the door in, it was as if I had entered a time tunnel. Within the four walls, what caught my eye were the antique paintings, the ink was still wet, and there was a faint scent of ink. On the table, a pot of freshly brewed tea was steaming. I couldn't help but pick up the teacup, and at that moment, my heart was tumultuous. 🍵 From somewhere, the sound of a piano rang out, and I was immersed in the melody of the music, feeling the charm of Kyoto. The courtyard of the hall is breathtakingly beautiful, with bonsai, running water, and red leaves, each scene is like a painting. I sat down, slowed down, and quietly appreciated all of this. 🍁🎋 That day, I felt as if I was in a dream. Miryoku Hall allowed me to experience what is called 'the charm of Kyoto'. Although I have left Kyoto, the time I spent at Miryoku Hall that day has always stayed in my heart. Every time I mention Kyoto, I can't help but mention the Miryoku Hall hidden deep in the alley.
