[Kyoto Prefecture] Stroll around Konchi-in Temple

This is a beautiful sub-temple of Nanzenji Temple that is known only to those in the know as an Important Cultural Property and a Special Place of Scenic Beauty. A quick visit would take about 10-15 minutes, but it was so worthwhile that I ended up staying for about 40-50 minutes. Per Ieyasu's will, hair and a personal Buddha are kept here. The dry landscape garden (Special Place of Scenic Beauty) with its white sand, crane island, and turtle island is also a must-see.
