The Ritz-Carlton in Kyoto is like a flowing feast!

The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto Membership Level: Platinum Every time I visit this hotel, I am impressed by at least one staff member's impeccable English pronunciation. At check-in, the front desk upgraded me to a courtyard view room and provided many welcome gifts. The bathroom amenities are in large bottles, but I personally prefer small bottles. I tried the kaiseki cuisine at the hotel's Mizuki restaurant and had some Juyondai sake. I must say, Juyondai is really good. From the hotel, I walked along the Kamo River to the Shimogamo Shrine, passing through the Kamogawa Delta, which frequently appears in Tomihiko Morimi's works, imagining the scene of launching fireworks at passersby. Heading south from the hotel, I crossed the Takase River and passed through Oike, Sanjo, and Shijo bridges, with a must-visit stop at the BAL mall, which has a two-story bookstore in the basement. When leaving other hotels, it's easy to evaluate the various aspects of the hotel individually. However, I believe The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto should be viewed as part of Kyoto as a whole. It should become a part of Kyoto's flowing history, like the Izumo no Okuni who once danced by the Kamo River, the ornamental balls with sword marks on the bridge railings, and the Noryo-yuka platforms that appear every year.
