Osaka Kyoto: Kiyomizu-dera | Arashiyama

Kiyomizu-dera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the oldest temple in Kyoto, built in 778 and belonging to the Jodo sect. The temple is famous for its magnificent wooden stage that hangs over the hillside, offering stunning views of Kyoto city. The name Kiyomizu-dera comes from the nearby Kiyomizu spring, whose water is believed to have sacred healing powers.
