Kiyomizu-dera Temple was built in 778 AD (late Nara period) Founded by Yan Zhenshangren, most of the current buildings were rebuilt by Tokugawa Iemitsu in 1633 Building Characteristics - Suspended stage: In front of the main hall of Kiyomizu Temple, there is a suspended stage supported by 139 tall wooden pillars.
