- Day 2 of cherry blossom chasing features spots along the Keihan Railway line: Seine River Embankment and Daigoji Temple. Originally, Fushimi Jikkokubune was also planned, but since there was no "sakura blizzard," we decided to skip it last minute. 🟡 Cherry Blossom Route 【Osaka ➵ Seine River Embankment ➵ Daigoji Temple ➵ Umeda】 📍 Seine River Embankment 🚇 Transport: Take the Keihan Railway to "Iwashimizu Hachimangu Station," then walk 15 minutes. There’s a supermarket along the way selling picnic snacks. 📬 Tips: ❶ Lots of tourists—walk further in for fewer crowds. ❷ The grass on the right side near the entrance is sparse and backlit in the morning, so fewer people take photos there, but it’s actually great for empty shots. ❸ There’s a stamp station at the entrance—don’t miss it if you collect stamps. ❹ Arrive before 9 AM. The entire embankment is lined with beautiful cherry trees, perfect for wide shots—no need to fixate on that one viral tree! 📍 Daigoji Temple 🚇 Transport: Take the Keihan Railway to "Rokujizo Station," then transfer to a bus and get off at "Daigoji-mae." 💰 Cost: ¥1,800 (all-access pass) / ¥800 (single hall). 📬 Tips: ❶ The Reihokan and Garan areas are more photogenic, but the all-access pass offers better value. ❷ The temple’s restaurant is crowded—consider eating before visiting. ❸ All three halls sell the all-access pass—don’t just queue at the entrance. 🍣 Food Recs: 🟠 Sumo Chaya Yagura: A random family restaurant near Rokujizo Station—later found out it might be run by sumo wrestlers. Their tempura teishoku (set meal) was decent. 🟢 Ginza Kagari: Oysters were sold out, so we tried the chicken paitan ramen—rich broth, no wait at 5:30 PM.
