Kiyomizu-dera Omurice and Matcha Ice Cream are amazing!

Just a 3-minute walk from Kiyomizu-dera! Omurice + Matcha Ice Cream = perfection! After walking 20,000 steps in Kyoto, I was completely healed by this small corner shop! Super convenient location: Only a 3-minute walk from Kiyomizu-dera, and the interior has a strong Kyoto vibe. Must-try Omurice: They offer several types of omurice, but the signature "Curry Omurice" is a must! Slice it open, and the rich yet not overwhelming Japanese curry paired with the soft egg is simply divine! Matcha lovers' paradise: Their "Shiratama Uji Kintoki" is visually stunning! The slightly bitter matcha with a sweet aftertaste, combined with red bean and shiratama dumplings, is incredibly satisfying with every bite. Sit by the window for a cozy atmosphere as sunlight filters through the noren curtain—perfect for photos! We ordered two omurice dishes, one curry chicken cutlet rice, one matcha ice cream, and one mini pizza for three people, spending about 80 RMB per person. Not recommended: Curry chicken cutlet rice—the chicken cutlet is quite small. Also, the matcha ice cream really reminds me of Chongqing's ice dumplings.
