Standing in the place where authentic Japanese tea originated feels very special and sacred. Second, and a real highlight, this is home to a national treasure, the Choju-jinbutsu-giga, a picture scroll featuring line drawings of animals engaging in playful human-like activities. This scroll has been recognized as a "Japan's first manga or anime"! Although the original is on display at a museum, visiting the place of origin is a great way for anime fans like us to enjoy ourselves. Walking around Kozanji Temple, surrounded by tall cedar trees, gives a sense of peace and recharges your energy.
