Recommended attractions in Kyushu: Kujukushima, Kujue Dream Suspension Bridge, Tianlai Hot Spring, Hita

#JanuaryGoodPlaces2025 1. Kujukushima (Figure 1-2) The "Kyujuku Islands" located outside the Sasebo Port in Nagasaki Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan, have more than 200 small islands. This time we took a sightseeing boat cruise and took a bus to the Zhankai Peak where you can overlook the Kujuku Islands. 2. Jiuchongmeng Suspension Bridge (Figure 3-4) The Kokonoe Yume Suspension Bridge is one of the famous attractions in Oita Prefecture. It is the highest pedestrian suspension bridge in Japan and spans the Kokonoe Gorge. 3. Tianlai Hot Spring (Figure 5-9) From Hakata, go to Hita, then take a local train from Hita to Teina Station. When you exit Teina Station, there are hand and foot baths at the exit. There are also open-air hot springs, so you need to bring your own swimsuit. 4. Hita (Figure 10-13) Located in the north of the Aso Kuju Mountains, water from the mountains flows into Hita. The abundant water resources have earned Hita the name "Water Town." What impressed me most were the boat-shaped houses by the water, the beautiful sunset, and the delicious Chinese ramen.
